Every day follows the same gentle, predictable flow — 12:00 to 2:00 PM ET — so campers always know what comes next.

    Welcome and warm-up

    Settle in, review rules, build belonging.

  2. 212:10 – 12:40

    Lesson + activity block 1

    Teach one concept and apply immediately.

  3. 312:40 – 12:45

    Screen break

    Reset attention and reduce screen fatigue.

  4. 412:45 – 1:25

    Lesson + practice block 2

    Teach and practise the main daily skill.

    Scenario, role-play or challenge

    Apply learning in realistic situations.

    Reflection and wrap-up

What is Poised & Prepared Academy?

Poised & Prepared Academy is a live, virtual life skills and etiquette program for children and teens ages 10–16. Through interactive lessons, students develop confidence, modern etiquette, personal presentation, digital citizenship, leadership, and social skills in a fun and engaging environment.

Who is this program for?

The program is designed for children and teens ages 10–16, with lessons and activities crafted to be engaging and developmentally appropriate across that range.

What will my child learn?

Personal hygiene and self-care, dressing with confidence and purpose, everyday etiquette and table manners, respectful communication and conflict resolution, online safety and digital etiquette, self-confidence and positive identity, and leadership and public speaking skills.

How is the program delivered?

Classes are taught live online over five days with interactive lessons, activities, discussions, and movement breaks.

Does my child need previous etiquette training?

No. The program welcomes beginners as well as students who want to strengthen their confidence and social skills.

Is this a traditional etiquette class?

No. It blends timeless manners with modern life skills, including digital citizenship, leadership, and respectful communication.

Will there be opportunities for participation?

Yes. Students engage through discussions, games, role-playing, chat activities, and hands-on practice in a supportive environment.

What technology is required?

A reliable internet connection, a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone, and a quiet learning space. A workbook, paper, and pen or pencil are also recommended.

Is parent involvement required?

Parents do not need to attend, but younger students benefit from having a parent or guardian nearby if assistance is needed.

How do you keep children safe online?

Classes are hosted on a secure virtual platform with moderated interactions, and online safety is a core part of the curriculum.

Will my child receive a certificate?

Yes. Students who complete the program requirements and participate in the Young Ambassador Showcase receive a Certificate of Completion.

What makes this program unique?

The program goes beyond manners by developing confidence, character, communication, leadership, and practical life skills for success at home, school, and online.
